# Install

## Download [#download]

Download the latest signed and notarized build:

Open the DMG, drag **Zeptap** to **Applications**, and open it. The setup assistant starts on first launch; continue with [Set up an iPhone](/get-started/setup).

## Requirements [#requirements]

| Needs          | Detail                                                                                                          |
| -------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Mac            | macOS 14 or later, with Bluetooth                                                                               |
| iPhone         | Connected to the Mac by a USB cable, unlocked, and set to trust this Mac                                        |
| Bluetooth      | The iPhone paired with this Mac over Bluetooth (the only step done on the iPhone)                               |
| AssistiveTouch | On. Zeptap turns it on over USB when it is off                                                                  |
| Other apps     | Quit any other app that exposes a Bluetooth keyboard or pointer to the iPhone. Only one can hold the connection |

## Updates [#updates]

Zeptap checks for updates once a day and installs a new version in one click. To check now, choose **Zeptap › Check for Updates…**, or open **Settings › Preferences › Updates**.

## Uninstall [#uninstall]

1. Remove Zeptap from each agent in **Settings › Connectors**, so no agent config keeps pointing at a server that no longer exists.
2. Quit Zeptap and move it from **Applications** to the Bin.
3. Optionally, forget the Mac under **Settings › Bluetooth** on the iPhone.
