TikTok warmup
14-day TikTok warmup that trains a new brand account's For You feed on its niche before posting - stage limits, profile, daily-session and post prompts, and TikTok's pushback signals.
TikTok reads a new account's niche partly from what the account itself watches. This warmup spends the first week watching and engaging inside the niche, so the For You feed (and later the audience) matches what the brand posts, then starts posting. Shared rules (prerequisites, approval gate, pushback, session report) are in How playbooks work. Stay within TikTok's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
TikTok-specific prerequisites: the iPhone is on a connection in the region the brand wants to reach, and for a brand, the owner switches to a Business account in Settings and privacy › Account.
Stages
| Days | Watch | Likes | Follows | Comments | Post |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | 20–30 For You videos, 1–2 niche searches | 3–5 | 0–2 | 0 | Profile only |
| 4–6 | 30 videos | 5–10 | 2–4 | 1 | None |
| 7–10 | 30–40 videos, plus 2 peer profiles | 10–15 | 4–6 | 2–3 | First video, once the feed is on-niche |
| 11–14 | Same | 15–20 | 5–8 | 3–5 | One a day, or the brand's planned schedule |
The day-7 gate: posting starts when at least half of a session's For You videos are on-niche (the report's Niche fit line). Below that, repeat the day 4–6 stage.
Day 1: profile
Open TikTok, go to Profile, then Edit profile. Set these fields one at a time,
showing me each change before you save it:
- Name: <brand name>
- Bio: <up to 80 characters, ASCII only>
- Website: <url, if the account offers the field>
Today's scope is the profile. Finish on the Home Screen and tell me which
fields are set and what's still missing.Daily session
Today is day <D> of my TikTok warmup. Niche: <topics>.
Peer creators: <@one, @two>. Search terms: <one, two>.
Limits today: <N> videos, <N> likes, <N> follows, <N> comments.
1. Open TikTok on the For You tab.
2. Watch <N> videos. Let on-niche videos play to the end; move past off-niche
ones after a second or two. Move between videos with a long drag.
3. Search one term and watch 3-5 of the top results.
4. Like on-niche videos, up to the limit.
5. Draft follows: list up to the limit of niche creators with one line on why.
Follow the ones I approve.
6. Draft comments: up to the limit, specific to each video, written as a person
from my brand, plain ASCII text with no links. Post the ones I approve,
exactly as approved.
7. Finish on the Home Screen and report: videos watched, how many of the
For You videos were on-niche, likes, follows, comments posted, and any
warning TikTok showed.
My approval covers follows and comments. For anything else outside these steps
(DMs, unfollows, settings), ask me first. If TikTok shows a limit, CAPTCHA or
verification screen, stop there and tell me exactly what it says.Post
Edit the video first, with its sound and on-screen text, and put it in the iPhone's Photos (AirDrop it from the Mac).
Open TikTok, tap +, and upload the most recent video in Photos. Caption:
"<caption, ASCII only>". Go as far as the final Post screen, then show me it
and wait for my go-ahead before tapping Post.Pushback signals
| TikTok shows | Then |
|---|---|
| "You're tapping too fast" or a similar limit | Stop; next session runs one stage lower |
| A CAPTCHA or verification | The owner completes it; pause 24 hours |
| First videos get almost no views | Hold the day 11–14 stage; keep posting consistently |
