AI agents can already use a browser and a terminal. They couldn't use the iPhone, which is where a lot of accounts, apps and two-factor codes actually live. Zeptap is a Mac app that closes that gap: it lets Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and any other MCP agent see, tap, swipe and type on a real iPhone, with the apps and logged-in accounts that are already on it.
How it works
The iPhone's screen comes to the Mac over the USB cable. Touch and typing go back over Bluetooth, with the Mac acting as a keyboard and pointer through AssistiveTouch. Agents drive the phone through an MCP server that runs inside the app and only accepts connections from the same Mac. The full manual is in the Zeptap docs.
What we care about
- Your phone stays yours. Nothing is installed on the iPhone, and Developer Mode stays off. There's no Xcode, no signing and nothing to re-install every week.
- Nothing leaves your Mac. There's no Zeptap account and no cloud relay. Screenshots go only to the agent you connect. The privacy policy lists the little we do collect.
- Bring your own AI. Zeptap works with the agent and the plan you already pay for. We don't sell AI credits or mark up tokens.
- Legitimate use. Zeptap is for operating your own accounts and apps: brand and agency accounts, app testing, personal errands. It isn't for fake engagement, bulk account creation or device spoofing, and the terms say so.
Who uses it
Social media teams and agencies running their brands' own Instagram accounts, developers who want their coding agent to test an app on a physical iPhone, and people who'd rather hand app-only errands to an agent. The use cases show what each of them does with it.
The company
Afterlume Labs builds and sells Zeptap. Payments, tax and invoices are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Every release is listed in the release notes.
