Instagram and TikTok account limits per phone

Instagram keeps up to 10 accounts signed in on one phone. TikTok publishes no limit; the numbers elsewhere come from guides.

Signed in on one phone Where the number comes from
Instagram Up to 10 Instagram Help Center, checked 14 Oct 2026
TikTok No published cap; Google’s AI Overview says 3, other guides up to 6 TikTok Support gives no number
With Zeptap Several per iPhone × up to five iPhones = 20–30 Lifetime Plus, $149 once

As of 14 Oct 2026, Google’s AI Overview and several top guides still say Instagram allows five. Instagram’s Help Center says 10.

How it works

Your agent works each account the way you would, in the real apps on your iPhones, personal accounts included.

  1. Sign in to your accounts in the Instagram and TikTok apps, as you do now.

  2. Plug your iPhones into your Mac. Zeptap shows each screen live.

  3. Ask for the job: post Reels, TikToks or Stories with music and link stickers, answer comments and DMs, or find accounts that haven’t posted.

  4. The agent switches accounts, does the job and moves to the next one.

  5. You watch every tap and can stop it any time, on up to five iPhones at once.

Prompts for running several accounts

Post the newest video in my camera roll as a Reel on @demo.bakery and as a TikTok on @demo.bakery.tiktok, with the caption I saved in Notes.

Switch to @demo.fitness on TikTok, answer today’s comments asking about the workout plan, then do the same on its Instagram.

What 20–30 accounts cost: schedulers, API tools and Zeptap

Most tools bill every month, and many bill per account, so the gap grows as you add accounts.

Tool Entry price (billing) 20–30 IG + TikTok accounts Personal IG accounts
Buffer (scheduler) $5/channel/mo (annual) $100–150/mo Notification only
Hootsuite (scheduler) $99/user/mo, 10 accounts (annual) Larger plan; price not checked Not stated
Later (scheduler) $18.75/mo, 1 profile per network (annual) More social sets; price not checked Business and creator only; music and stickers by hand
SocialBee (scheduler) $24/mo for 5; $40 for 10 (annual) Larger plan; price not checked Listed; method not stated
Metricool (scheduler) $20–25/mo, 10 brands (billing unlabelled) About $20–25/mo for up to 20 Not stated
Zernio (API/MCP) 2 free, then $6 (3–10), $3 (11–100) each, monthly About $78–108/mo Not stated
Upload-Post (API/MCP) $33/mo for 25 profiles $33/mo Not stated
Blotato (API/MCP) $29/mo for 20 accounts (monthly) $29/mo at 20 Not stated
Postiz (API/MCP) $23 (annual) / $29 (monthly) for 5; $31–39 for 10 Larger plan; price not checked Not stated
Zeptap Lifetime Plus $149 once, up to five iPhones $149 once + your AI plan Yes

Prices from each brand’s pricing page, checked 14 Oct 2026.

  • Per-account tools climb. At 20–30 accounts, Buffer costs $1,200–1,800 a year and Zernio about $936–1,296.
  • Flat API plans are cheap. Upload-Post ($33/mo) and Blotato ($29/mo) cost little each month. Lifetime Plus pays for itself against Upload-Post in about 5 months.
  • They can’t reach personal accounts. Meta’s API auto-publishes only to professional accounts, and its docs don’t mention Story music or stickers. Zeptap does both in the real app.
  • Meta Business Suite covers posts, comments and DMs for professional Instagram accounts only, not personal ones or TikTok (Meta, checked 14 Oct 2026).
  • Schedulers win on timing. Need posts out at 3 a.m. with nobody at the Mac? Keep your scheduler.

Privacy, control and limits

You sign in to each account yourself; the agent only works in apps already signed in.

  • Your passcode never leaves your Mac. It stays on your Mac, hidden from the agent.
  • Your screen never touches Zeptap’s servers. Screenshots go only to the AI provider you chose, under your own plan.
  • You watch every account live on your Mac and can stop the agent at any moment.
  • It asks before the big steps. Before starting a conversation with someone new, buying or paying, the agent stops for your OK.
  • Each phone stays plugged in. The agent works an iPhone only while it’s plugged in to your Mac.
  • It runs when you ask. There’s no built-in scheduler; start the job yourself or from your own automation.
  • Platform rules still apply. TikTok’s and Instagram’s rules on spam and fake engagement cover every account. Following them is your responsibility.

How Zeptap handles your screen and passcode: Privacy

How to start

  1. Download Zeptap for your Mac (macOS 14 or later).

  2. Plug in each iPhone and pair it. Nothing goes on the phone: no Xcode, no developer account, no jailbreak.

  3. Ask your agent. Use Zeptap’s built-in chat on your Claude plan, ChatGPT plan or OpenRouter key, or connect your own agent, such as Claude, ChatGPT, OpenClaw or any MCP client.

questions?

The docs go deeper, and they're written for agents to read too.

Can you have multiple TikTok accounts?

You can have multiple TikTok accounts: tap Profile, tap your nickname, then tap Add account. TikTok doesn’t publish a per-phone limit; Google’s AI Overview says three and other guides say up to six.

How many Instagram accounts can you have?

Instagram lets you keep up to 10 accounts signed in at once, according to its Help Center, with no stated cap on how many you create. To add one, tap your username at the top of your profile, then tap Add Instagram account.

Will Instagram or TikTok ban me for having several accounts?

Instagram and TikTok both allow one person to run several accounts. Their rules target what accounts do, such as spam, fake engagement, ban evasion or posting the same content everywhere. Following them is your responsibility, so give each account its own purpose.

Do I need a separate email for each account?

Instagram doesn’t always need a separate email: you can create extra profiles under the same account and keep one login through Accounts Center. TikTok does: each email, phone number or social login links to only one TikTok account.

Does it work with personal Instagram accounts?

Zeptap works with personal, creator and business Instagram accounts because your agent uses the Instagram app itself, with the stickers and music each account’s app offers. API schedulers can auto-publish only to professional accounts.

Which iPhones work?

Zeptap works with every iPhone on iOS 15 or later, including models with a Home button like iPhone SE and iPhone 8. You need a Mac on macOS 14 or later and a cable per iPhone.

How many accounts can Zeptap run, and what does it cost?

Zeptap runs 20–30 Instagram and TikTok accounts across up to five iPhones with Lifetime Plus, $149 once. One iPhone costs $25 a month or $99 once. There’s no per-account fee, the AI runs on your own plan or key, and your first hour is free. See pricing.
